The Oklahoma City Veterans Affairs Medical Center is seeking a full-time staff physician to be a Hematology/Medical Oncology Specialist. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm The Hematology/Medical Oncology physician will participate in providing inpatient and outpatient care of the highest quality to patients with hematologic/oncologic diseases, teaching, and research in the field. The candidate will participate in the education and supervision of trainees. Strong research experience is preferred. A successful candidate must qualify for a faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. Basic Requirements: • Must be proficient in written and spoken English. • Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine. • Current, full, and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia. • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Hematology and Medical Oncology. Preferred Experience: Minimum of five years post-fellowship experience. Physical Requirements: Standing for extended periods, use of fingers and both hands, ability for rapid mental and muscular coordination simultaneously, emotional and mental stability.
