This general cardiology position is for MHI’s northern tier sites in Baxter and Crosby MN. The clinical support team ensures a positive experience, ensuring the patient leaves feeling educated and confident with their care plan. Position Details: • Work as a team in a clinical setting with other cardiologists and APP • Round on inpatients at local hospitals • See patients in the Baxter and Crosby locations, as well as outreach locations in Aitkin and Staples. • Review patient's medical history while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. • Evaluate, interpret, and coordinate information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care. • Provide education, consultation or intervention to patients (treatment plan) and their families. • Work collaboratively with patients to improve their health and well-being. • Practice in a thoughtful manner including consideration for cultural diversity, individual autonomy and legal responsibilities. • Manages complex cardiac conditions such as heart attacks, and life-threatening, abnormal heartbeat rhythms. • Manages diseases of the heart and blood vessels. • Interpret cardiac imaging studies including echo, stress echo, and cardiac nuclear studies • Interpret cardiac monitors and EKG’s • Perform cardioversions and transesophageal echos • Supervise stress tests and cardiac CT • Chart in electronic format in accordance with licensure and scope. • Actively participate in multidisciplinary team approach to case management. • Top percentiles for compensation and vacation time Work Schedule: • 1.0 FTE • Monday – Friday •On call rotation 1:4 – low call volume, mostly phone consultation
