U.S. Army Medical Corps PLAY A VITAL ROLE IN THE LIVES OF OUR NATION'S DEFENDERS As a Urologist and officer with the U.S. Army Medical Corps, you'll provide the top level of care for Soldiers and their families with diseases, injuries, or disorders of the reproductive and urinary systems. You’ll also perform medical research, receive advanced training in your field, and start your medical career as an Officer in the distinguished U.S. Army healthcare community. You may have the opportunity to command medical units, perform staff functions in health support, research diseases, and participate in medical education. Salary Ranges: $150K-193K (annually) Benefits may include: -Repayment of qualified education loans to lending institutions, paid annually over a maximum of 3 years while serving -Based on your area of concentration, you may be eligible for an accession’s bonus, paid over a four-year period while serving -No-cost or low-cost medical and dental care for you and your family -30 days of paid vacation earned annually -Commissary and post exchange shopping privileges -Basic Housing Allowance Monthly (varies by location and rank) - Enrollment into the Uniformed Services Blended Retirement System Requirements: -Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine by the LCME. - Foreign graduates may apply with permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates - Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico - Eligibility for board certification from the American Board of Urology -Completion of at least one year of an approved graduate medical education internship -Completion of all required training for specialty - Between 21 and 42 years of age (waivers granted on a case-by-case basis) - U.S. citizenship Job Locations: Current Job locations are within TX and other states To learn more, visit healthcare.goarmy.com/medical
