For over 40 years, Family Health Centers, Inc. (FHC) has provided primary and preventive healthcare services to Orangeburg area residents, including those who are uninsured. Clinical and support staff services are tailored to meet the physical, psychosocial, nutritional and health education needs of patients. Through collaborations and partnerships with local county, state and federal agencies and institutions, FHC has expanded to meet patient needs.
The largest non-hospital based primary care health organization in Orangeburg and surrounding counties, FHC operates seven primary health care centers in Orangeburg, Calhoun, Bamberg and Upper Dorchester counties.
FHC is accredited by The Joint Commission (TJC), a prestigious healthcare accrediting agency. TJC verifies that the health center is compliant with nationally recognized standards of care and continuously makes efforts to improve the care and services it provides. FHC has also achieved Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) status through The Joint Commission.
