Our VA Mission and Core Values
No organization can succeed without values to match its mission. Our mission, as the Department of Veterans Affairs, is to care for those who shall have borne the battle and for their families, caregivers and survivors. Our core values focus our minds on our mission of caring and thereby guide our actions toward service to others.
VA Core Values describe how VA will accomplish its mission and inform every interaction with our customers. These Core Values are: Integrity, Commitment, Advocacy, Respect, and Excellence better known as I CARE. VAs Core Values will continue to serve as the right guide for all our interactions and remind us and others that I CARE.

About the Community
The White River Junction VA Medical Center is conveniently located at interstates 91 and 89 in the village of WRJ in Hartford, VT. We are nestled in the beautiful Upper Valley, along the Connecticut River. We also serve seven outpatient VA clinics throughout VT and NH from our WRJ location. This area has lots of year round outdoor recreation to offer, such as swimming, boating, hiking, skiing, and more. There is also much to offer in the way of local restaurants and shopping to support small businesses. We hope this sounds like a place you would like to start your career!
