IU Health La Porte Hospital is a 227 bed Community Hospital located in La Porte Indiana. The Medical Staff is comprised of 320 members which represent all specialties.
Our legacy goes deep within the Community which boasts the first hospital to offer all private rooms. William Mayo, who founded the practice that became the Mayo Clinic, graduated from medical school right here in La Porte County. Although we have a deep history in the community, innovation is in our DNA. We are building upon our community's strengths, creating a vision for a robust healthcare network across the region and zeroing in on the number one thing: Patient-centered care.

La Porte is a city in La Porte County, Indiana of which it is the county seat. It's population is approximately 25,000. It is one of the two principal cities of the Michigan City-La Porte Indiana Metropolitan Statistical Area.
