About the Organization
THE OPPORTUNITY: This is an opportunity to be employed by or in private practice association with Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center (EMRMC), a 222-bed, Level III trauma center located in Danville, Kentucky, a city of 20,000 located approximately 35 miles southwest of Lexington and 75 miles southeast of Louisville. The population of the primary service area for the hospital is 120,000. The hospital's Emergency Department gets 30,000 visits per year. Ephraim McDowell Fort Logan Hospital, a 25-bed critical access facility, is part of the EMH family and is located approximately 10 miles from Danville in Stanford, Kentucky. Also in the health system are 13 primary and specialty clinics throughout a six-county service area.
To help Ephraim McDowell Health meet the communities' needs, we have distinguished medical staff offering more than 30 specialties. Many of those physicians have been in our community for 25 years or more. During the past 18 months, we have added several new physicians to that medical staff, including primary care physicians, cardiologists, hospitalists, a nephrologist and a vascular surgeon, all for the purpose of expanding the availability of services needed in our community. As we move forward in 2014, we continue to seek keeping our patients close to home for their medical needs. Ephraim McDowell seeks to provide a great experience for each patient and his or her family.
