About the Organization
Yuma Regional Medical Center (YRMC) is a top-in-technology 406-bed acute care facility providing medical care to over 207, 000 year-round residents and an additional 100,000 seasonal winter residents during our beautiful and mild winters (average 70 degree high). YRMC offers modern facilities, including a 42 bed ICU with full-time Intensivist coverage a Women and Children Services Center featuring comfortable, private single-room birthing; a Level 2 EQ neonatal ICU; and a 24 bed Pediatric/Women's unit. The Heart Center/Cardiopulmonary Care unit provides 24 hour, 7 day coverage and available local cardiac surgery and heart services including a robust TAVR program and hybrid OR. A comprehensive Cancer Center, Orthopedic Fracture Care Clinic, robust Bariatric surgery program, a free-standing Outpatient Surgery Center and our Family and Community Medicine Residency program/Sports Medicine Fellowship program are also a part of our campus.
About the Community
Yuma, Arizona sits on the edge of the Colorado River and the borders of California and Arizona and is known as being the sunniest place in the world! Our community is large enough to have everything you need, but small enough to where everyone is like family. San Diego, CA and Phoenix, AZ are just over a 2 1/2 -hour drive away; Tucson is just over 3 with the drive to Las Vegas being a little over 4 hours. So, when you want a quick weekend get-a-way, the larger metropolitan areas are very close by.
There are many outdoor activities available in our community with the nearby Imperial Sand Dunes (ATV's, rails & dirt bikes), Colorado River (swimming, boating, jet ski/wake boarding, kayaking, & fishing), and hiking/biking/riding trails (Telegraph Pass/Pilot's Knob).
Yuma is a place that makes you feel right at home - from the rental car agent at the airport to the gas station attendant to your server at a restaurant and everyone else you meet in between.
